Rich Media Steps - Overview of Working in the Rich Media Step Type

What is Rich Media (aka Custom Code)?

Creating a Rich Media Step allows Path creators to add small pieces of HTML, JavaScript, or CSS code into a Step to allow for custom functionality such as special features, interactive parts, or services in order to offer more value to members. 

Examples might include (but are not limited to):
  1. Adding an interactive Google map to your office or location (click HERE to learn how)
  2. Embedding an intake form with an Electronic Health Records (EHR) program
While Rich Media coding is certainly a more advanced feature, the possibilities are limitless for how custom code can enhance the Paths experience. 



Creating a New Rich Media Step

  1. In Path creation mode, click on "Add Steps" and then "Create from scratch"
  2. Click on "Create" in the Rich Media Step box
  3. Insert a Step name and description


Insert Custom Code

  1. In the "Content" box, insert your custom HTML, HTML, JavaScript, or CSS code.
  2. A preview of your content should appear on the left. If it does not appear, there is a problem with your code. 
  3. NOTE: The Paths Client Support is not able to provide technical assistance for custom code created by client organizations.

Saving the Step

Click on "Create" when you are ready to save your Rich Media Step.
