Video Steps - Overview of Working in the Video Step Type

Creating a New Video Step

  1. In Path creation mode, click on "Add Steps" and choose "Create from Scratch"
  2. Click on "Create" in the Video box.

  1. Must be a video file directly on your computer or a video via Youtube or Vimeo

Adding the Duration Time

  1. Duration time may automatically populate
  2. If not, click on the clock icon and specify the length of the video using the hours, minutes, and seconds. 

Adding Transcripts

Currently, transcripts are only available for videos that you upload directly to the PATHS platform. This option is turned on by default and as soon as you save your step the platform will begin transcribing the video for you. You'll see an orange "Transcribing..." label next to that Step in your Path while it is being processed. One it's finished you'll see a green "Transcript Ready" label next to that step.

Transcripts are available in English by default, but you may add additional languages once the initial transcript is ready. See the article on Adding and Editing Transcripts for more in-depth guides.

Saving the Step

  1. Add a video name and description (required)
  2. Click on "Create" when you are ready to save the Step. 

Editing a Video Step

  1. To edit the step at anytime click on the 3 dots next to the step
  2. Click "edit" 
  3. Make any necessary changes following the directions above
