Link Steps - Overview of Working in the Links Step Type

Link Steps are the easiest way to connect a user to an external website.

  1. In Path creation mode, click on "Add Steps" and choose "Create from Scratch"
  2. Click on "Create" in the Link tool box. 


When the Link Step editor opens, add the Link name and description. 

Important Note: When someone clicks on a link in a Link Step, their browser will either open a new tab or a new window, depending on their system settings. This can be confusing for some users. We recommend adding clear instructions to the description on the Step, reminding users to return to the Path.
In the "Add a link" text box, type or paste in the URL for the external website. 

Add a Cover Photo or Image (optional)

An optional cover image can be added to the Step that will help users when navigating their Path.  
  1. 1872 x 800px (21:9 aspect ratio)
  2. .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .webp, .bmp, .tiff

Saving the Step

  1. Click on "Create" when you are ready to save the Step. 
  1. To edit the step at anytime click on the 3 dots next to the step
  2. Click "edit" 
  3. Make any necessary changes following the directions above
